Popularly Known for her portrayal of Rey in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, including The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, and The Rise of Skywalker, Daisy Ridley is an English actress who started her acting career with minor roles in several television programs including Silent Witness, Toast of London, and Casualty before making her film debut in Scrawl. Ridley filmed her scenes as Rey at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, which premiered in December 2015 and became very popular, earning revenues of over $2 billion.
Aside from Star Wars, Ridley has also appeared in other films, including Murder on the Orient Express, Ophelia, and Chaos Walking, as well as lending her voice to the live-action/animated film Peter Rabbit and video games like Twelve Minutes. She also became the executive producer of the documentary The Eagle Huntress and recorded its narration for its wide release. In addition, Ridley sang “At the Ballet” from A Chorus Line on Barbra Streisand’s 2016 album Encore: Movie Partners Sing Broadway.
Although Ridley has stated that she is not expected to reprise her role as Rey, she is open to returning to the character if needed and is excited about the possibilities within the Star Wars universe.

Daisy Ridley was raised in the neighborhood of Maida Vale, located in the Westminster borough of London. Ridley Born to parents Christopher Ridley, a photographer, and Louise Fawkner-Corbett, who works in internal communications for a bank. Daisy is the youngest of three daughters namely Kika Rose and Poppy Sophia.
Daisy’s paternal great-uncle, Arnold Ridley, was a military personnel and went on to become a successful actor and playwright. Her grandfather, John Harry Dunn Ridley, OBE, also had a successful career, working as the head of the Engineering Secretariat at the BBC from 1950 to 1965.
